Module 6

Coming full circle

As you come to the end of engaging with these modules, go back and review your reflections. Ask yourself the following questions:

  • Is there any, one experience that stands out the most? In what ways and why?
  • What did you learn from this and other experiences?
  • Have any of your values  and beliefs changed? Why / how – why not?
  • How has your sense of identity developed as a result of cultural introspection?
  • If you have experienced changes, what were they? How do you feel about those changes?
  • In terms of assumptions regarding diverse others, what did you learn about yourself in identifying those assumptions? What was accurate / inaccurate?
  • Can you identify any ways in which you may interact differently with diverse others, as a result of going through the process of cultural introspection?
  • How did (will) this process help you navigate your study abroad / intercultural exchange experience?
